2. Scope
This policy applies to the PixLake website, enquiries, business relationships and studio operations. A mobile app, game, web platform or other product operated by PixLake may provide an additional product-specific privacy notice. Products we build solely for clients are governed by the client’s privacy notice where that client determines how personal data is used.
3. Information we process
- Contact and business information: name, email address, company, role, message content and communication history.
- Project information: briefs, specifications, feedback, credentials supplied for development, test data, support requests and files shared through collaboration tools.
- Technical information: IP address, browser, device type, operating system, timestamps, requested pages and security logs.
- Product information: when a PixLake-operated app or game states that this policy applies, account identifiers, preferences, gameplay or feature events, crash reports, diagnostics and purchase-status information may be processed as described in that product.
- Transaction records: invoices, payment status and accounting information. Full payment-card details are normally handled by the relevant payment provider rather than PixLake.
Please do not send production credentials, sensitive personal data or confidential datasets through the general contact form.
4. Purposes and legal bases
- Answering contact and quotation requests: pre-contractual measures.
- Planning, developing, testing, delivering and supporting websites, platforms, mobile applications and games: performance of a contract and legitimate interests.
- Operating PixLake products, fixing crashes, measuring reliability and improving features: contract, consent or legitimate interests, depending on the product and jurisdiction.
- Protecting accounts, source code, infrastructure and users; preventing fraud and abuse; and defending legal claims: legitimate interests and legal obligations.
- Meeting administrative and tax obligations: legal obligation.
5. Website technologies and third-party services
This website does not currently use advertising profiling cookies. Hosting, content-delivery, email, source-control, project-management, analytics, crash-reporting, store, cloud and security providers may process limited information on our behalf or under their own terms. If we introduce non-essential cookies or similar technologies, we will update this policy and provide consent controls where required.
6. Apps, games, stores and SDKs
Apps and games may interact with operating systems, app stores, game platforms, device APIs or third-party SDKs. Those operators may independently process device, account, purchase or usage information under their own privacy notices. Product-specific disclosures will identify material integrations controlled by PixLake.
7. Sharing and international transfers
Information may be shared with authorised personnel, infrastructure and collaboration providers, professional advisers, payment and accounting providers, or authorities where legally required. We do not sell personal data. Because PixLake operates from the United States and may use providers in other countries, information may be transferred internationally using safeguards required by applicable law.
8. Retention
Enquiries are retained only as long as reasonably needed to respond and maintain business records. Project information is retained for the engagement, support period and any legally required recordkeeping period. Security logs, diagnostics and backups are retained for limited operational periods unless longer retention is required to investigate abuse, resolve a dispute or comply with law.
9. Security and development environments
We use technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information. Development and test systems are not intended to receive unnecessary live personal data. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
10. Children
The studio website and contact form are not directed to children. A PixLake-operated app or game intended for children will provide appropriate product-specific disclosures and consent mechanisms where required. If you believe a child has submitted personal data through this website, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
11. Your privacy rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, receive portable data, or withdraw consent. You may also complain to the competent privacy or data-protection authority. To make a request, email support@pixlake.dev. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our website, products, development practices, providers or legal obligations change. The date above identifies the latest revision. Material changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
